Reasonable questions
FAQ
How it works, what stays private, and what your first 3 free moments include.
What is SupDude?
SupDude is a warm, funny iPhone app built around one idea: people before feeds. You choose your people and the distracting apps where you want a pause. SupDude suggests someone real before the scroll.
Is SupDude a screen-time blocker?
Not really. SupDude is a pause, not a padlock. You choose the apps, and you can always continue.
Does SupDude read my messages?
No. It does not read message contents or call history. SupDude asks you whether the human interaction happened, and you decide whether to log it.
Does SupDude upload my contacts?
No. You choose each person you add. SupDude does not browse or upload your full address book, and your chosen people are stored on your device.
Do I have to make phone calls?
No. Calls are one option. A text, WhatsApp, FaceTime, voice note, or scheduled call counts too. Pick whatever feels easiest today.
Which contact methods are supported?
SupDude is designed for calls, texts, WhatsApp, FaceTime, voice notes, and scheduled calls. The easiest option is the right one.
What counts as a People-before-Feeds moment?
A moment is added when you confirm that you reached out. SupDude never reads the call or message to check.
How do the 3 free moments work?
Your first 3 completed people-before-feeds moments are free. After that, a purchase is required to continue. Onboarding and in-app previews do not use your free moments. There is no automatic subscription after the free allowance.
What plans are available?
Choose a monthly or annual subscription, or a one-time lifetime purchase. Prices are shown in the app before you buy. Payment is charged to your Apple Account. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled; manage or cancel them in Apple Account settings. A lifetime purchase does not renew.
Why is there no weekly subscription?
Because SupDude does not need a high-pressure weekly charge. No weekly subscriptions. We don’t like them either.
How do I restore purchases?
Open SupDude Settings and choose Restore Purchases while signed in to the Apple Account used to buy the app.
How do I manage my subscription?
Manage or cancel an active subscription in Apple Account subscription settings. Deleting SupDude does not cancel a subscription.
What happens if I deny Screen Time permission?
SupDude cannot interrupt the apps you select without Screen Time permission. You can change that permission later.
What happens if I deny Contacts permission?
You can add someone manually instead. SupDude never needs your entire address book.
Can I delete my local data?
Yes. Delete local data in SupDude Settings removes your people, moments, history, and app settings from that device and cancels SupDude notifications. It does not cancel a subscription or erase purchase records held by Apple or RevenueCat. See the Privacy Policy for details.
Which devices and languages does SupDude support?
SupDude is built for iPhone and supports English, Spanish, Italian, French, and German. Home Screen widgets keep a gentle prompt close; the companion appears on the Lock Screen and Dynamic Island on supported iPhones.
