1. The short version
SupDude does not read your messages or call history, upload your full address book, sell personal data, or use your contacts for advertising.
You choose the people you add. Their details and your logged moments are stored on your device, although Apple may include app data in an iCloud or computer backup depending on your settings.
2. Information you choose to provide
Selected people
When you add a person through Apple’s contact picker, SupDude receives only the contact you explicitly select. It stores that person’s formatted name and the first phone number listed on that contact. You may also provide or edit a relationship label, emoji, preferred reach-out methods, contact cadence, and last-contact date.
SupDude does not browse, copy, or upload every contact in your address book.
Distracting-app choices
SupDude stores the apps you choose for an interruption. Apple represents Screen Time selections using privacy-preserving tokens rather than giving SupDude a general list of everything installed on your phone.
3. Information SupDude creates on your device
To remember your choices and make suggestions, SupDude stores the following on your device:
- your onboarding and preference settings;
- your selected people and distracting apps;
- a global People-before-Feeds moment count;
- recent timeline entries and connection logs, including the selected person’s display name and the method you chose;
- recent interruption outcomes that you choose to record;
- notification, appearance, sound, and purchase-access preferences.
A moment is recorded only when you confirm it in the app. SupDude does not inspect a call or message to verify the outcome.
4. Messages, calls, and communications
SupDude does not read message contents, listen to calls, or read call history. Some buttons hand off to iOS or another installed app—such as Phone, Messages, FaceTime, or WhatsApp—using a phone number you selected. Those apps and services process the communication under their own terms and privacy policies.
5. Screen Time and Family Controls
When you grant Screen Time permission, SupDude uses Apple’s Screen Time frameworks to shield the distracting apps you select and offer a pause before you return to them.
SupDude does not see what you view or type inside those apps. You can change or remove Screen Time permission in iPhone Settings.
6. Notifications
If you enable notifications, SupDude schedules reminders, sounds, and badges on your iPhone. It does not use a push-notification server or collect a push token.
You can deny notification permission or change it later in iOS Settings. Core app content remains accessible without notifications, although reminders will not appear.
7. Local storage and device backups
SupDude stores your selected people, preferences, and moment history locally on your iPhone and does not send that database to a SupDude-operated server. Purchase-related information is processed separately by Apple and RevenueCat, as explained below. Apple may include app data in an iCloud or computer backup, depending on your device settings.
8. Purchases, Apple, and RevenueCat
SupDude uses Apple’s in-app purchase system for subscriptions and lifetime purchases, and RevenueCat, Inc. to validate purchases, restore access, and determine which paid features are available to you. Apple handles billing; SupDude and RevenueCat do not receive your payment-card details.
RevenueCat processes an app-specific user identifier, purchase receipts and transaction history, product identifiers, purchase and expiry dates, and subscription and entitlement status. It may also process technical information such as device type, operating system, and the last time the app contacted its service. This purchase-related information is sent to RevenueCat’s servers rather than remaining only on your device.
We use this information to provide paid access, resolve purchase issues, prevent purchase fraud, and understand purchase and subscription performance. Your selected contacts, messages, call contents, and people-before-feeds history are not part of this purchase processing.
For more information, see RevenueCat’s Privacy Policy and Apple’s Privacy Policy. Privacy requests relating to SupDude’s use of RevenueCat can be sent to atom93@protonmail.com.
9. Analytics and crash reporting
RevenueCat provides purchase and subscription analytics, including purchase history and revenue reporting. This is separate from your on-device contact and moment history. SupDude does not use that history for advertising or track you across other companies’ apps and websites for advertising. If additional analytics or diagnostic services are introduced, we will update this policy and the App Store privacy details to describe them.
10. Support emails
If you email atom93@protonmail.com, the message, your email address, and anything you choose to include will be processed by the email services used to receive and answer support requests. Do not include sensitive contact or conversation information unless it is necessary.
11. Sharing and selling personal data
SupDude does not sell personal data, use contact information for advertising, or transmit its local app database to a SupDude-operated server.
Apple processes purchases, RevenueCat processes the purchase-related information described in section 8, and email providers process support correspondence. RevenueCat acts as a service provider processing end-user information on our behalf.
12. Retention and deleting local data
SupDude keeps app state until you delete it, reset the app, or remove the app. Settings includes a Delete local data control that clears your people, moments, history, and settings, and cancels SupDude notifications.
Removing one person stops future suggestions for them. Previous logged moments may still show their name; use Delete local data to remove all people, moments, history, and settings from the device.
Deleting the app normally removes its local container from the device. Clearing local data or uninstalling SupDude does not automatically delete Apple or RevenueCat purchase records or cancel an Apple subscription. Manage subscriptions through your Apple Account settings.
For a request to access or delete purchase-related information held through RevenueCat, contact atom93@protonmail.com. We may need information to locate your purchase record and verify the request. Some records may need to be retained to provide paid access or meet legal obligations. Apple-managed backups and Apple purchase records are governed separately by Apple’s policies.
13. Children’s privacy
SupDude is not intended for children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information through SupDude or a support request, please contact us at atom93@protonmail.com.
14. Security
SupDude aims to minimise the information it handles and rely on iOS platform protections. No method of storage or transmission can be guaranteed absolutely secure. Purchase-related information sent to RevenueCat is encrypted in transit.
15. International availability and privacy rights
RevenueCat processes data on servers in the United States, so purchase-related information may be processed outside your country. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict use of your personal information, and to complain to your local data protection authority. Manage local app data through SupDude’s settings; send requests about support correspondence or purchase-related information to atom93@protonmail.com.
16. Policy updates
We may update this policy when SupDude’s features, providers, or data practices change. Material updates will receive a new “Last updated” date and, where legally required, an in-app notice or consent flow.
17. Contact
Questions about privacy can be sent to atom93@protonmail.com.
